Yesterday we took a little drive to Mountain Lodge Farm in Eatonville, WA. If you don’t know about Mountain Lodge Farm you should check them out! They have a barn full of beautiful Nigerian Dwarf, Lamancha and Lagerian (Nigerian/Lamancha cross) goats whose milk is used to make really delicious cheese, I think I’ve tried them all! We’ve been there for their open house a couple times, you can sample cheese, tour the barn, and visit baby goats. It’s fun for the whole family, the next one is a Holiday Open House on December 6th. You can also sign up for cheese making classes, which I hope to do in the near future! Usually we come home with cheese from Mountain Lodge Farm…but this time we brought a goat home with us! We are very excited to introduce SG Pholia Farm DB Francine.

Francine is bred to Algedi Farm DJ Wedding Ring, it’s a repeat breeding that produced some beautiful offspring so we are very excited, we will probably retain a doeling for our herd. View the planned pedigree, she is due in February. So far Francine has been super sweet and friendly, she is also very well mannered on the milk stand.
