We’ve been remodeling our home and creating our little farm since we moved here in 2007, it’s home to our family of 5, plus our furry family members: 4 dogs, 1 horse, a barn cat, chickens and the goat herd. We often see wildlife living nearby like owls, hawks, coyotes, deer and elk.
Our little hobby farm located near the Mima Mounds Prairie and Capitol Forest in Littlerock, Washington, about 15 minutes from Tumwater & Olympia. We have 12 acres, half prairie and the other half wooded we love having the open sky being right by the prairie and our view of Mt. Rainier and even Mt. Saint Helens when the sky is clear.
The Mima Mounds Preserve is a fun place to visit especially in the spring when the purple camas flowers are blooming. Capitol State Forest provides outdoor activities like mountain biking, hiking, trail riding.
